316 days - Nikki's story

My name is Nikki, I am 32 years young and proudly 316 days completely sober.

I have always had a passion for health, fitness, mindset and empowering others in a holistic and authentic way. I grew up playing sports at a competitive level in netball, swimming and dancing. At age 17 I was selected in the NSW representative team for indoor netball and the Illawarra Academy of Sport for outdoor netball, after 1 year I decided to take what I thought would be the easier route and gave it up to party.

That single decision changed the course of my life, I threw myself into drinking, drugs and partying which lead me down a much harder path for 12 years.

In 2022 the addictions, depression and avoidance of my feelings finally caught up to me and I collapsed. I stopped brushing my teeth, brushing my hair, showering, leaving the house, cooking, cleaning and looking after myself. I no longer had the energy to pretend I was OK; the only thing I had the energy for was to walk to the bottle shop to buy my $5 wine.

After years of trying to get sober, I finally had a tough conversation with myself and accepted that I was exactly who I didn't want to be - I was an alcoholic, an addict, I was overweight, I was tired, I was depressed, I was lonely and I was miserable.

Something had to change, and that something was me.

In November of 2022 I made the decision to get sober for good and to start changing my life. I moved to a house on a mountain and spent the next 2 months building good habits for myself; I promised myself I only had to do 2 things and that was to 1. stay sober and 2. turn up to the gym 4 days a week. I didn't have to workout, I just had to show up at 5am no matter what.

I did that and then had my first call with a woman who changed my life, Asha Coulthard. We committed to 6 months of grinding to lose 40kg and compete in the July 2023 WBFF transformation division where I told my story of change and overcoming in the hopes of inspiring and connecting with other people struggling - depression and addiction are sadly common.

I am proof there is better on the other side.

This comp prep reignited my passion for all things health, fitness & wellbeing which lead me to the next step and fulfilling a dream I always had - helping others. I am now a practicing holistic health, empowerment and mindset coach. I am the coach that leads from the front, with integrity because if I don't I go back to square one.

I pride myself on creating and holding a judgement free, safe space that is filled with fun, thoughtfulness, encouragement and friendship. Even once we've finished, I'll still be in your corner - my clients can't get rid of me that easily, I want you to succeed and I want you to feel supported the whole way through.

There is so much power in holistic health and your mindset, it's the power you hold within you

Contact me today so I can help you unlock it and transform your life too, just like I did mine.
